I have been practicing and studying traditional shamanism as an apprentice to the spirits, receiving training with my human teacher Nicholas Breeze Wood since 2019.
Nicholas has shared teachings with me from the Indigenous North American Medicine Ways, as well as ceremonial methods from traditional Mongolian and Himalayan shamanism, with a sprinkle of Core shamanic teachings also.
I have received empowerments and initiations into traditional practices from these traditions, and Nicholas and I have an ongoing apprenticeship, where he mentors and supervises me regularly.
The spirits called me to these sacred ways at a very young age, yet I ignored this calling for many years, so as to avoid the 'blessing and curse' that the spirits often bring.
As a way of avoiding, I used alcohol and drugs in an attempt to escape from my path’s true calling. But, after years of suffering from physical and mental illness, I was forced to turn my life around, heal from complex trauma and PTSD, and begin to listen to the calling of the spirits.
I began my journey with Buddhism and spirituality in 2008, yet did not fully commit to it until 2016. Then, I asked the spirits to guide me to a teacher, and have continued followed the sacred paths that the spirits have opened the doors too.
Expression can't move when we are full of limited beliefs and past hurt that cause internal energetic blockages.
The best investments Kate believes she has made have been working with mentors to help guide her during her own self-development processes.
